This December, Rhythm & Grooves Music Academy Director Richard Henson will take on all 26.2 miles of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon in support of the children and families of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude is a cause that means a great deal to Richard and to the Rhythm & Grooves family, and we’re proud to support his fundraising efforts as he prepares for race day.

We’d love for our R&G families and friends to join us in supporting St. Jude. Every donation—no matter the amount—helps Richard move closer to his fundraising goal and, more importantly, helps St. Jude continue its incredible work for children and families facing childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Congratulations to Rhythm & Grooves Music Academy student Crews Wilkinson on being named one of the Top 40 Finalists in the 2026 Zildjian US Young Drummer of the Year Competition!

Even more impressive, this is the second year in a row that Crews has earned this incredible recognition.

The Zildjian Young Drummer of the Year competition attracts some of the most talented young drummers from across the country, making this accomplishment a testament to Crews' dedication, discipline, and passion for his craft.

At Rhythm & Grooves Music Academy, we love celebrating student success. Whether our students are earning spots in honor bands, winning competitions, receiving scholarships, performing in ensembles, or competing on a national stage, their achievements continue to inspire our entire music community.

🎉 Student Achievement Spotlight – Congratulations, Luke Davis! 🥁

We are incredibly proud to recognize Rhythm & Grooves Music Academy student Luke Davis for an outstanding series of accomplishments this year.

Luke recently won the Tennessee Day of Percussion Snare Drum Competition in the High School Division, demonstrating exceptional skill, precision, and musicality at a statewide level. Luke performed Prim by Askell Masson.

In addition, Luke earned 1st Chair Orchestra for the All-West Tennessee Band & Orchestra Association and will be attending All-State, placing him among the top high school musicians in Tennessee.

Luke has also been accepted into the prestigious Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) Summer Music Program on a full scholarship—an incredible honor reserved for some of the most talented young musicians in the country.

Achievements like these come from years of dedication, disciplined practice, and a genuine passion for music. We are extremely proud to have Luke as part of the Rhythm & Grooves family and cannot wait to see what he accomplishes next.
