Bartlesville REdevelopment Trust Authority uses Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to stimulate investment in the Downtown Redevelopment District. These funds are derived from the incremental property taxes generated from improvements only within the district. TIF is not an abatement. Property taxes are still paid to the school districts with a larger percentage paid at the end of the life of the TIF district. BRTA-ok.org

Historic walking tours are always a popular activity when traveling to other cities. Did you know Bartlesville has one too? It’s called the Bartlesville Heritage Trail and showcases over 70 historic sites in downtown and a few other locations. Those with limited time can limit their tour to the “Top 20” Sites. You can view it two ways. You can purchase the walking tour hard copy booklet for just $10 at Crossing 2nd Bistro at 215 East 2nd Street, Bartlesville Visitors Bureau at The Center, or the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce on Keeler Ave.
