Friends, Family, Local Business Owners,

We are planning our ATLAS Back to School family meeting and are looking for help with door prizes. Gift cards (Walmart, Aldi, local restaurants or stores) or baskets of items that would be helpful to families or promote family fun would be ideal. Any help is greatly appreciated as we to kick of the school year and promote family engagement and involvement!

This year we added Mr. Aleks to our ATLAS team. As our classroom paraprofessional, he truly does it all. He helps with school work, provides push-in support in classrooms, takes students to the sensory room, plays countless soccer games, does recess duty, and is always willing to do anything asked of him. The kids love doing projects with him and he is a model making expert. On top of all that, his mom makes AMAZING cakes that he shares us!

Box Projects! It may appear a disorganized mess, but plenty of learning is occurring. This includes planning, teamwork, cooperation, understanding cause and effect, experimenting through trial and error, developing fine motor skills, practicing measurement, and more. Special thanks to Captain Tate for bringing boxes and letting us wear his helmet.

Officer Maggie's rapport with our students is built on mutual love and respect. You’ll often find her in the ATLAS room, helping with schoolwork, playing games, checking in, and making us all laugh! Her daily presence is a testament to her dedication to our students’ safety and well-being. They view her as a trusted and dependable figure. We are grateful for her role in our program and the positive impact she has on our students.

Ms. Nesha is the glue that hold all the things together in the ATLAS room. She is our attendance taker, note keeper, and data tracker. She keeps the snack cabinet stocked with beef sticks and never lets us run out of disinfectant wipes. She is organized and creative and she loves and serves with her whole heart. We are so grateful she is ours! Thank you, Nesha, for being the best assistant a teacher could ask for!
