Entrepreneur Tyler Glenn (BHS 2007), joins host, Anthony Tucker (BHS 2007) on return trip to Alumni Chat for a special edition episode to discuss his hit local event, Red Dirt Week.

Glenn discusses the humble beginnings of Red Dirt Week and the journey to hosting seven consecutive years of the event. He is unapologetically proud of being a Bartlesville first entrepreneur and reflects on the people who have helped him build his event and his business, Red Dirt Rubs.

Tucker and Glenn wrap up the episode with a new segment, "Phone the Past," where Glenn elects to call his mother who had passed during his freshman year of high school.

Join us for a behind the scenes look at how this Bartlesville graduate is pursuing his dreams of becoming the face of Oklahoma.

On this episode of Alumni Chat, we welcome former KJRH Channel 2 news reporter and BHS Class of 2013 grad, Katie Keleher, back to campus with show host, Anthony Tucker (BHS 2007).

Keleher, a five-year veteran of broadcast news, discusses her pathway to pursuing a career as a broadcast news reporter and anchor. The two discuss the importance of mentors and Katie discusses the irreplaceable role that her parents played in her growth. From writing articles for Ms. Darla Tresner's newspaper class at BHS to co-anchoring Good Morning KU at the University of Kansas, Katie capitalized on her opportunities along the way to earning her first job post-college at Local News 8 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
In addition to Keleher's outstanding career, the two discuss her roots as a Bruin athlete and the importance of answering the call to serve your community, a trait that was passed down to her from legendary parents.
This Bartlesville Bruin has a servant's heart and continues to represent Bartlesville proudly. Fight on, Katie Keleher.

It’s time to party like it’s 1999 on this episode of Alumni Chat with renowned DJ, barber, and entrepreneur, Brandon Thompson, BHS 1999. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8UU_B4_zV8

Brandon joins show host, Anthony Tucker, BHS 2007, to discuss his journey to finding his way to barber school at age 32 and the influences that shaped him along the way to becoming the owner of his own successful barbershop with two locations, Pure Image Barbershop.

Brandon delivers sage advice for budding entrepreneurs and young Bruins alike who are struggling to find their footing on their individual paths to self-discovery and success. From delivering fresh fades to dropping dope beats under his moniker, DJ Brandon, Brandon Thompson is the epitome of the ole’ adage by Benjamin Franklin, “Energy and persistence conquer all things.”

The two also discuss their shared experiences surviving Y2k, the lost treasure that was Goldie’s Patio Grill’s hamburgers, and the impact of 2000’s music sharing platforms Napster and Limewire had on ruining family computers.
