Barstow College Foundation The Barstow College Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation established in 1982 with a mission Interested in giving a donation?

The Foundation is currently comprised of 14 voting members and 4 ex-officio members. BCF conducts a meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month. For each meeting, an agenda is created that outlines discussion and action items that are to be addressed at the meeting. Agendas are posted on the Barstow Community College campus three working days prior to the meeting. Board of Directors:

🎙️ A NEW EPISODE OF FIVE IN 15 IS HERE!

In this edition of Five in 15, we sit down with Lisa Kiplinger Kennedy, Executive Director of the Barstow College Foundation, to talk about her return to Barstow Community College, her vision for the Foundation, and the power of building strong community and industry partnerships.
Lisa shares what brought her back to BCC and her priorities for her first six months—including strengthening connections with the college, community, industry partners, alumni, and employees.
She also gives us a look at the relaunch of the President’s Circle, upcoming networking opportunities, and an exciting celebration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66 at Barstow’s historic Harvey House.
To wrap up, Lisa shares her love of reading and recommends CTE Reimagined by Christy Valesky, highlighting the important role career and technical education can play in the future of community colleges.

Tonight, the Barstow College Foundation proudly celebrated the achievements of our outstanding Barstow Community College students during the 2026 Scholarship Ceremony held in the BCC Performing Arts Center. 🎓✨
This year, 345 scholarship applications were submitted for 69 scholarships totaling more than $45,000.00 in awards — a true reflection of the dedication, perseverance, and promise of our Viking students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous community and college scholarship donors whose continued support makes these opportunities possible. Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients — your hard work and determination continue to inspire us all! 💙

Michael Olguin’s career journey started at Barstow Community College and led him to become the Founder and Chairman of Havas Formula, a global communications agency.

With more than 30 years of experience helping organizations build powerful brands and communication strategies, Michael has worked with companies around the world.

During the Panel, he’ll share his story, the lessons he learned along the way, and advice for students thinking about careers in marketing, communications, and business.
