Signing Day hits different when you’ve been there for the journey.

As parents, most of us join booster club thinking we’re just there to support our own child… maybe help out a little for a few other kids along the way. What I never expected was how deeply attached you become to every single one of these boys.

You watch them through the hard practices, the heartbreaking losses, the moments they doubt themselves, the injuries, the exhaustion, and the pressure they carry. But you also get to witness the laughter, the brotherhood, the locker room celebrations, the bus rides, the big wins, and the way they show up for each other over and over again.

Somewhere along the season, they stop feeling like “someone else’s kid” and start feeling like your own too. ❤️

And when you really step back and look at everything they accomplished this year, you realize something bigger than football happened… these young men grew into incredible people. Truly one of the best groups of boys.

So many of our seniors have chosen college as their next chapter, and that alone is something this community should be proud of. Please check out the BHS counselors Instagram page to celebrate all of the seniors who have committed to their future paths.

But today, we had the honor of recognizing three very special young men:

Three amazing athletes. Three outstanding young men. Three futures that are so bright.

Watching them sign today was emotional because it reminded all of us why we do this — every meal served, every fundraiser, every late night, every game day, every ounce of support. It was always about helping these boys build a future bigger than football.

We are so proud of you boys. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Once an Aztec, always an Aztec. ❤️💛

🏆 Barstow High School Football Banquet 🏆

Join us as we honor the 2025 CIF State Champion Barstow Aztecs and celebrate a historic season, including Program Wide Back to Back Desert Sky League Championships.

This special evening will recognize the dedication, discipline, and accomplishments of our student-athletes, coaches, and program.

We invite families and supporters to come together for a memorable and meaningful celebration.
