Hi everyone! I hope you all have been enjoying your summer break. We've been getting a lot of phones calls, thanks a million. I just wanted to let you all know, our Barstow location is closed to the public for the summer. We've been blessed with an opportunity to grow in another city and have accepted this invitation. We're excited to begin at our new home and wish you and your precious little ones all the best. Our community friends are welcomed to stop by our office when we're in town (text me). For the past several weeks there’s been an immense amount of inaccurate reporting and misinformation about business practices at Sweet Harmony Childcare. These false and misleading statements were created and posted by a highly disgruntled past client of only about four hours, who has no substantiative knowledge of our business structure nor its operation. These actions are in retaliation for the termination of her childcare contract by management. In setting the record straight, Sweet Harmony Childcare is an absolutely beautiful daycare rooted in Judeo Christian philosophies, love and happiness. It takes an incredibly special group of individuals to provide love to unrelated children and their families. We’re proud of our achievements and in nurturing the lives of young children we serve. Any unsubstantiated allegations were proven to be false. Period. While we’re committed in support of our community unfortunate situations occur, in which relationships must be terminated due to non payment for services rendered and or in response to unprovoked unacceptable, volatile behaviors some parents may exhibit. We always wish to end relationships peacefully and amicably. And, always put the values of the families we serve and our staff above all.
In this matter, justice was slow, but we were victorious. The highly disgruntled past client faced trial for defamation in California court, was found to have defamed the reputation of our owner and her business and was ordered to pay $10, 089.50 in damages to Sweet Harmony Childcare.
I urge people to use social media as platform for positivity, self-enrichment and for spreading love and information about the wonders of life and not as a tool to spread false and defamatory statements about others. I also urge people to get the facts straight before offering support or reposting false information. Attached to this public statement is the courts judgement for inspection. Please take notice that a few things are redacted for privacy.
