While maintaining a busy performance schedule throughout New England, he currently teaches at Fitchburg State University, Cushing Academy, The Winchendon School, and his quaint studio in Gardner . Troy holds degrees in Jazz Guitar (Berklee College of Music) and Commercial Music Performance (Lansing Community College). His teaching is based on an in-depth study of advanced concepts and techniques while making sure his students receive a core knowledge of music theory. Troy is also a specialist in preparing students for college music programs as well as taking recognized/advanced players to the next level in all aspects of their craft. He considers himself blessed to be successful in a career he truly loves and gets the most enjoyment watching both his past and current students grow to become the area's finest musicians. Hi Folks, A year and a half after relocating to my home state of Michigan, I've finally booked the last student on my waiting list from Massachusetts! It was important to me to reach this goal before booking any new clients moving forward. I certainly didn't want to leave anyone hanging after they were dedicated to staying on a waiting list for that long. I'm so grateful to these musicians (along with those that stayed in the schedule after the move)! I promise that the lessons will take all of you to the next level and beyond.

While I ease into semi-retirement from my performance dates, I look forward to maintaining a busy teaching schedule here. Location is no longer an issue as I'm teaching 100% online now and I'll be ready to welcome new students from around the globe as early as June 2026.

As always, your musical goals are my priority! All guitar styles, beginner through professional level. 🎸

If you've been on the waiting list for a while, I promise that your patience will be rewarded (eventually!) by helping each of you meet and exceed all of your musical goals. Also, I will be offering a few online clinics in the coming months that will be exclusive to those who have been "on deck" for more than 6 months. *Please Note* ALL INSTRUCTION WILL BE PRESENTED ONLINE AFTER OCTOBER 1st, 2024.
