It's National School Lunch Week, and we are celebrating the wonderful people who keep our Golden Bears fed and ready to learn! 🐻❤️

Every school day, our food service team is up early preparing meals, serving students with a smile, and making sure thousands of details come together behind the scenes. A school meal is about more than food—it is another way we care for our kids.

October is National Principals Month, and today we recognize Scott VanEss and his leadership across our elementary schools! 🐻❤️

Elementary education is where so many important foundations are built, and Scott works every day to make sure our students are surrounded by caring adults, meaningful learning, and opportunities to grow. His steady leadership, commitment to kids, and support of staff help make our elementary schools wonderful places to learn and belong.

Thank you, Scott, for the countless decisions, conversations, celebrations, problem-solving moments, and behind-the-scenes work that go into leading our schools each day.

Peyton and Sophia, juniors at Barron High School, recently completed a job shadow in sonography and radiology at Cumberland Healthcare. They gained valuable insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of medical imaging professionals while observing ultrasound and X-ray procedures. The experience provided an opportunity to learn more about patient care, safety protocols, and teamwork within the healthcare setting. Thank you, Cumberland Healthcare, for supporting our students as they explore future careers in healthcare! 🩻

This career education is provided under the BASD Mentorship Program. Students may request a job shadowing experience to learn about potential careers by contacting Kelly Hover, Mentor Coordinator at 715-537-5627 Ext. 139 or [email protected]

Mrs. Huset's crew had an unbe-leaf-able time at Ferguson's Apple Orchard! 🍎🚜🍂

From the corn pit and hayride to the animals, slides, apple picking, and apple c***r donuts, there was so much for this crew to enjoy! 🍂🍎 These Golden Bears even brought some apples home to make a delicious apple crisp!

Please come in any time from 4 PM to 7 PM to discuss your Golden Bear's 1st Trimester academic progress. No appointment is necessary to meet with teachers.

❗️ Also, please note that BHS will be in session for all classes on Friday, October 9.
