We had another fantastic week of Music in Our Schools Month! We started the week of with a group of girls who showed us their talent playing the piano. Then we had Mr. Bradbury, the BMS Band Teacher, come to play his flute for us. Thursday was the big, bold BES Band Brass Section. And today we had Barrington resident, Dave Leathers, come and play his guitar and sing some classic 70s songs for us. He was thrilled to be here and we assured him that he will be on our list for many years to come!

We love the month of March at BES because it is Music in Our Schools Month!
The first week started out so great ~ with a mix of repeat performers with some new ones thrown in the mix. Monday started off with Nick & Winter Phaneuf. Winter is now a 5th Grader and was thrilled to come back to BES to perform with his dad. Tuesday we had a new face, Scot Villeneuve, who owns Big Hit Guitars here in Barrington. He played some great bluesy bass guitar. Wednesday we had Trey Finkelstein, Mrs. Ludwig's music intern, play smooth jazz with his trumpet. Thursday we welcomed back the Southern NH Ukulele Group to strum up some very fun classic songs. Today we had Mrs. Ludwig perform using her French horn ~ which was wonderful! More music will be coming next week --- we are so excited!

This is the week! Our Kids Heart Challenge Events are here! We will be jumping rope, moving and grooving and celebrating all the ways we can be heart-healthy. Each grade will have their jump parties this week:
1st Grade: Monday
2nd Grade: Tuesday
3rd Grade: Wednesday
4th Grade: Thursday
Please send your student to school with sneakers! Also, it's not too late to donate to the American Heart Association and earn fun thank-you gifts. Use this link to make a donation today or turn it in to school with your student.
