Barrington High School recently earned Gold distinction on the Advanced Placement Program (AP) School Honor Roll. 💡📘✏️Way to go, BHS students and educators!

💯📘📚BHS NAMED TO AP HONOR ROLL:

Barrington High School has been named to the Advanced Placement Program (AP) School Honor Roll, earning Gold distinction for students' college readiness and preparation.

Seventy percent of BHS seniors in the Class of 2024 took at least one AP exam during high school. Overall, 64% of 2024 seniors scored a three or higher on at least one AP exam and 10% of the seniors took five or more AP exams, including at least one exam in the 9th or 10th grade!

This recognition demonstrates the immense amount of hard work and effort our educators and students put into teaching and learning. Way to go, BHS!

⭐️🏆⭐️BPS TOPS 2025 NICHE RANKINGS:

This week, Niche released rankings for its 2025 list of Best Schools in America. Barrington Public Schools tops the list as the #1 Best School District in Rhode Island!

BPS received an overall grade of A+ from Niche, which places us among the top 3% of school districts in the country.

Niche calculates its Best Schools rankings using graduation rates, state assessment scores, SAT/ACT scores, college readiness, educator quality, public data from the U.S. Department of Education, and student and parent reviews.

It was a pleasure to host Dr. Mitchell at our Transition Academy! ⭐️

💡📒🎓SPECIAL EDUCATION RESEARCHER VISITS BHS:

Dr. Vickie Mitchell, Professor of Special Education at Sam Houston State University, visited the Transition Academy at Barrington High School this afternoon!

Dr. Mitchell is a leading researcher on adult transition programs and special education practitioner. It was a pleasure to meet with and learn from her today. 🦅
