Last Friday the annual Prairie State Conservation Coalition gathering was hosted by the Barrington Hills Park District, Citizens for Conservation and Barrington Area Conservation Trust at the Riding Center. So many leaders from amazing organizations gathered to connect and learn about each other while making new contacts and potential partnerships- mission accomplished! Thank you all for coming out and making this event a huge success!

The Regional Gathering in Northern Illinois is getting underway! Beautiful day at the Barrington Riding Center. PSCC is hosting along with Barrington Hills Park District, Barrington Area Conservation Trust, and Citizens for Conservation. Brad and Sandy checking everybody in!

We were honored that a pair of chimney swifts chose one of the barns at the Riding Center to build their home and raise their chicks. Chimney swifts typically nest in cavities (especially chimneys) so it was a real treat that they were so visible. More info: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Chimney_Swift/overview
