Hello Little B’s Families,

This is to inform you that Little B’s will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26th, due to the weather and road conditions. We understand that schedule changes can be challenging, and we truly appreciate your patience and cooperation.

As a reminder, per our policy: If the local school district (Barnum) closes, we will also close.

We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces again on Monday, December 1st! ❄️

for the past few weeks, we have been nominating co-workers for a weekly shout out to appreciate those that go above and beyond I especially wanted to share the latest edition with you all!

We are so Thankful for not only your work ethics but also your sparkling personalities. We love your personal connections with the children and how they all look forward to your arrival daily! (as do we!) Congratulations on being selected as our Star Staff!

I am so proud to introduce our next promotion in our “Little’s Village”..... as a center, our professional goal while being a Four Star rated Parent Aware program, was including a designated degreed staff called “Education Coordinator”.  Please give Ms Alivia a huge round of applause as she worked on earning her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development in less than two years, while working FULL TIME in our Infant room at Little B’s.  AND she earned a 3.79 GPA graduating with a magna cm laude (silver medallion). (Insert Standing Ovation here!!)  This was funded mostly by the TEACH
program as well as Little B’s.
A fun fact, Alivia was a preschooler in our first center, “Kiddie Academy,” then moved to Barnum to open Little B’s with us.  So she has been here, literally, since day 1. (She did have to leave a few years to attend elementary and high school)We welcomed Alivia back again as a High School Aide, who quickly proved she was ‘a lifer’  and worked 40 hours as a 16-year-old while also attending community college.  She graduated from both Barnum High School and Lake Superior College in 2020.
In her new role, Alivia will still lead the Infant room until the next staff member earns the Lead requirements, but will also work all summer on our curriculum and carry out age-appropriate classroom routines. Alivia will assist staff in assessments, redirection and management. Alivia’s experience and education brings another level of professionalism to our team!! I am so beyond proud of her!

A special appreciation post for “Mr Daniel”. Not only is he all the kids favorite staff- he’s ours too. He spent all Christmas break by removing a temporary wall/shelving system and completely redoing Ms Jenni & Cassidy’s circle time area. He was also able to take old book shelves down, repaint the hallway and make more room in the back classroom for storage. Next time you’re in, go see the fun changes!! Also- a thank you to my parents- papa Kenny & GMA Joyce who helped him. It takes a village and we sure appreciate everyone’s roles to make B’s so special.
