It's almost time for one of our favorite educational outreach programs: Young People's Concert! 🎶🏫

Students in grades K–6 from across the Cape gather for a free performance designed especially for them. This year’s program features Leonard Bernstein’s "Symphonic Dances" from West Side Story and the "Carmen Dance Suite" based on George Bizet’s opera. Students will consider how music influences dance styles and rhythms—how can dance tell stories?

Teachers, please register your classes if you haven't yet. We can't wait to perform for you! 💙

📅 Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10:00 and 11:45 AM

Interested in joining Cape Symphony Youth Chorus? Join CSYC Music Director Stephanie Riley for a one-day Choral Clinic designed for singers ages 12–20. This engaging and supportive experience gives students the opportunity to strengthen vocal technique, musicianship, and ensemble skills while working on exciting choral repertoire in a collaborative setting. 🎤✨

Throughout the day, participants will explore healthy singing, tone production, blend, musical expression, sight singing, and rehearsal techniques while connecting with other young singers who share a passion for music. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in placement auditions.

The clinic concludes with an informal performance at 3:00 PM showcasing the day’s work!

Did you know that Cape Symphony Conservatory offers ensembles for adults? 🪈🎻

If you play a string or wind instrument, these groups could be perfect for you! Check them out below 👇

⭐️ Flute Choir (18+ and 4 years of playing experience)
Being part of a wind group offers players a different experience from a mixed ensemble. By focusing on intonation, rhythm, tone and technique, students learn how to blend within the ensemble to create a unique and beautiful sound. An end-of-semester performance enhances the learning experience

⭐️ Seaside Strings (18+ and must be able to read sheet music)
A fun ensemble for adult string players of all skill levels. Students develop technical and rhythmic skills through the ensemble experience, in a low-pressure setting. The group performs a diverse repertoire, including classical music with simplified arrangements, country and show tunes, presenting a concert for family & friends at the end of the semester.
