During Middle School Advisory, students spent time getting to know one another through team-building activities, interactive worksheets, and plenty of fun. It was a great opportunity to practice collaboration, build connections, and strengthen their advisory time.

A warm welcome to our newest Barnesville Bears!🐻

New Student Orientation Day on Monday was all about getting comfortable, making connections, exploring campus, and meeting the teachers and staff who will be part of the year ahead.

We loved seeing our new students and families begin to find their place in the Barnesville community. Now, we’re ready for a new school year!

8 days until the first day of school! 🐻

In-Service Week kicks off today! This is an opportunity for our team to come together around the priorities that will guide the school year. Today’s conversations focused on Barnesville's mission and philosophy, community agreements, professional expectations, and the ways we continue to build an inclusive and welcoming school community.

Throughout the rest of the week, teachers will continue planning, collaborating, and preparing their classrooms for students.

☀️ Summer Teacher Adventures: Ms. McMunn

A pretty normal summer for Ms. McMunn… which, of course, included plenty of animals!

This summer, she showed her poodle puppy for the very first time, took Booker, a baby Irish Water Spaniel, through puppy class, and welcomed two BeBe Parrots—Peek-a-Boo and I-See-You—to the family.

And the best part? Peek-a-Boo and I-See-You will be joining Ms. McMunn at Barnesville this year! 🦜

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to campus in just 12 days!

Last week, villageedu brought the zoo to us for an unforgettable live-animal experience! Campers met fascinating animals and discovered the important role insects, reptiles, and other wildlife play in keeping our ecosystems healthy.
