The school year ended in June. The farm did not notice.

Summer on an organic farm is watering, weeding, and animals that expect breakfast whether or not class is in session. Most of it is quiet work that nobody sees.

By the time students return in September, they will be harvesting from beds that were planted and tended during weeks just like this one.

For 150 years, a small Quaker school on 350 acres in eastern Ohio has been quietly turning out graduates who stay connected to it for life.

That is the story our alumni magazine, the Olney Current, tells. It will be published this June. Some of the people in it graduated decades ago and still order the school's pumpkin bread by mail. Some are still finding their way back to campus.
