On Thursday, September 24th, LCFFA traveled to Camp John Hope in Fort Valley to compete in the Floral Design Career Development Event. 🏆

The Floral Design CDE aims to stimulate the study of and interest in the design and marketing of floral arrangements through the agricultural education curriculum.

Eden Poole placed 9th overall!!!!💐

Congratulations to Eden and her hard work this past month. You represented Lamar County High FFA tremendously well in this extremely competitive CDE! 🎉

On Wednesday, September 16, LCFFA traveled to the Georgia National Fairground Perry, Ga. to participate in the annual Area 3 Central Region Leadership Rally!! 💛💙

FFA members…

✏️ Teamed up to participate in leadership initiatives

Lamar County High School ‘s Agriculture classes have been hard at work demonstrating learning by doing! 🛠️

Hands on learning is the core of Agricultural Education and is part of the 3-Ring Model of Agricultural Education through Classroom and Lab activities.

💛 In Basic Agriscience, modeling the FFA Emblem and Livestock anatomy, meat cuts, and digestive systems 🐄🐖

💙 In Agricultural Mechanics 1, demonstrating electrical wiring techniques per the National Electric Code 🔌💡

💛 In Agricultural Mechanics 2, creating woodworking plans and projects to be submitted to the Georgia National Fair held in Perry, GA 🪑🔨

On Saturday, August 29th, Eden and Daisy traveled to Camp John Hope in Fort Valley to participate in the Georgia FFA State Floral Design Clinic.

The girls practiced creating wedding floral pieces including bouquets, corsages, and foam arrangements 💐🌻
