For the FIRST time in Lamar County High School history, the Lamar County High FFA Chapter has been named a 2026 2-Star ranked chapter by The National FFA Organization. 💛💙⭐️⭐️

The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improved chapter operations using the National Quality Chapter Standards and a Program of Activities that emphasize growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.

The LCFFA Chapter will travel to Indianapolis, IN on October 21, 2026 to be recognized on stage at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo!

Huge shoutout to Evie, recently graduated LCFFA member!!!

Throughout the summer, we've spotlighted young ag leaders who are making a meaningful impact in their schools and communities.

Meet Evie McEvers, who just completed her senior year as a member of Upson County 4-H in Thomaston, GA.

Evie grew up breeding and raising show sheep while working on the family farm. This experience, among others, spurred her passion for educating across the ag industry.

Known for her hard work, dedication, and helpfulness, Evie was described as “the epitome of youth agriculture excellence.” We’re proud of her current and future contributions to Georgia agriculture.
