We will have a table set up at Fun in the Ville for classroom assignments. 🧑‍🏫👩‍🏫 If you are unable to make it tonight, please wait until Friday, August 7 to call to find out who your child’s teacher will be.

We will also have preschool letters with teacher assignments and tuition amounts.

🚨Correction🚨 We will be having kindergarten screening (KRA) appointments August 20, 21, & 24 so kindergarten’s 1st day will be August 25.

August 6: Back to School Fun in the Ville 4 - 6pm

August 18: District-wide open house 3 - 6pm

August 20: 1st day for 1st - 12th grade

August 20, 21, 24: kindergarten screening by appointment (you will be notified of appointment time)

August 25: 1st day for kindergarten

August 21, 24, 25, 26: Barnesville preschool DIAL screening by appointment

August 27: 1st day for Barnesville Preschool

Reminder:

📚Any third grade student who did not meet the Third Grade Reading Guarantee score requirement and was promoted through a waiver/exemption is eligible to participate in the Summer Ohio Test Administration.📚

Testing will be administered at the Elementary School Office:
🗓 Monday, June 22 at 9:00 AM – Part 1
🗓 Tuesday, June 23 at 9:00 AM – Part 2

This assessment provides students with an additional opportunity to demonstrate reading proficiency.

⭐ Students who earn a score of 700 or higher on this assessment will not be required to have a Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan (RIMP) during the 2026-2027 school year.

📖 Students who do not earn a score of 700 or higher will be required by Ohio law to have a Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan in place next school year.

We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity. If you have questions please contact the elementary school office.
