Rebecca's Northeast weather and education page

Rebecca's Northeast weather and education page A page about the science of meteorology, with a focus on the Northeast To keep you ahead of the weat I've been involved with a few research papers. In college.

Hi My name is Rebecca Ladd, I'm a Digital Meteorologist, Storm Chaser, Weather Researcher, Upper Atmosphere and Severe Weather Analyst. In addition to the above, I'm a member of the National Weather Service Mobile Decision Support Services, certified Skywarn Storm Spotter, been through the EF-scale damage assessment course, Severe weather photographer. I even know computer and website coding...

...

I went to Texas A&M. I just love atmospheric science. I've done quite a bit of field work. I have a degree from Texas A&M, where I worked with professors, students, and meteorologist in the field. where I was able experience what the science of meteorology is all about. I've been taught invaluable forecasting techniques, about atmospheric dynamics, and even how to read the sky. In spite of my meteorological training and education...I've never lost the wonder of looking into the sky and saying Oh wow! I've been hooked on severe weather ever since I saw my first tornado at age five . I've chased hundreds of storms across the Plains, Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Dixie Alley. This page will cover the Northeast, along with other weather events of interest I will cover along with a supporting blog, a broad range of topics, from daily forecast to interesting weather education. Some do's and don'ts

This page works best when Y'all and I exchange information. I love your comments and encourage you to leave them, but please be respectful of others. I reserve the right to delete profane, harassing, abusive and spam comments and to block repeat offenders. Please stay on-topic. This is a weather page. But, Space weather, earthquake, tsunami, volcano, what's going on in your area, and other science topics are ok to post and talk about as well. Some Northeast news that would impact the people on this page....is also allowed.......

There are many places on Facebook where you can discuss religion, politics, social issues, relationship issues, or the multitude of other non weather related issues out there....but this isn't one of them..... If in doubt, please ask, If I find what you want to post is interesting, enlightening, or of value....I can make an exception on an individual basis . I would ask that you don't post weather forecast from other sites. I can only speak for my forecast. Posting forecast other than my own will lead to confusion. But You can comment on my forecast and ask as many questions as you want. Don't post every weather warning you find. The NWS issues thousands of text products every day... if you post too many of them it will clog up the page. Besides most don't apply. But lifesaving weather warnings that impact the Northeast, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, flash floods, Storm Reports, and the like are fine and are encouraged. I would ask that you first look to see if I have posted on it first...but I can't keep up with everything, so if you don't see it...post it........

It's OK to post interesting weather tidbits and information from other sites. Astronomy Space weather, earthquake, tsunami, volcano is ok to post about as well. I would ask that you don't spam the page with a lot of nonsense. I encourage you to post your photography and videos. .... These can include such things as pictures of Stormy and Nice Weather, Clouds, Landscapes, Fall Foliage, Aurora, Nature, and Wildlife Pictures. I reserve the right to ban those who can't follow these simple rules...............
