For sale is a BEAUTIFUL and RARE Guild Starfire XII 12 string electric guitar in good preowned condition. This instrument dates to 1966, and the serial number is DC 523. It was just professionally setup and restrung by our in-house guitar tech, and everything is functioning as it should. As far as condition goes, we believe the tail piece has been replaced at some point, as it does not match the original screw hole location, and it is not the usual shape for this era of Guild. The saddle is cracked, but is functional. It could certainly be replaced if you wanted to do so. It is also missing the pickguard. We are not certain, and cannot say for sure, but we think the instrument may have been re finished at some point. The main reason for saying this is some raised spots in the finish around the f holes. Our tech also wanted me to mention that there is currently eleven thousandths relief in the neck, and the truss rod is TIGHT. Overall it is playing fabulously, and is a rare and collectible vintage instrument. Comes with a Gator hard case that has seen better days.
