Wanderlust on Tap

I was unsatisfied with my career, uncertain how to change, but entirely ready for change. I had experienced life being short and unfair, and was no longer going to settle for anything less than being absolutely happy. I had always enjoyed travel and the outdoors, so I began my search for happiness by taking time with Mother Nature. I mapped out a camping trip, spanning 22 States -from Arkansas to

California, up to Canada, across to Michigan and back to Arkansas. I drove 10k miles over two months, seeing some of the most beautiful sights in America, sleeping under the stars, and trying a local brew at every opportunity. When I returned to Arkansas I brought with me a smile that had often been missing. There was also a new passion, an absolute desire to see more. More of Everything! Happiness was seeing and experiencing, and it became the absolute most important thing to me. When that happens, you find a way. I got rid of everything I could not take with me (except my dog, Rossi, who my brother looks after). I don't own a tv or bed, no washer and dryer, no couch, no collection of shoes or guns or movies, etc. As the saying goes, the things you own end up owning you. I took this to heart. I followed up by moving to Tokyo, Japan for three months at the suggestion of a friend. I lived in a 6 floor shared guesthouse with 7 roommates two stations away from the famous Shibuya Crossing. I don't speak Japanese and I didn't know anyone living in Tokyo when I arrived. But I feel in love with the city and culture and made amazing friends and memories along the way. After I spent some time working on an organic farm in northern California. I also gained a beautiful and inspiring travel and life partner in Claudia. We met years ago, while both living vastly different lives. Now you'll likely never see us apart
