Through the Dig Deep program at Foster Heights Elementary School, students had the opportunity to dissect sharks right in the classroom.
The UP Foundation of Nelson County Schools was proud to assist with a grant that helped make this experience possible.

Last night, Nelson County Schools UP Foundation hosted a reception to honor 36 students who were awarded Dual Credit scholarships for the spring semester.
Because of the generosity of those who support the UP Foundation, these students are earning college credit while still in high school and taking an important step toward their future.
It was a special evening hearing directly from students about how this opportunity is impacting their lives. Thank you to everyone who helps make moments like this possible and believes in our mission of Uniting People, Place, and Purpose.

The Nelson County Schools UP Foundation received one of three Community Health Improvement Grants provided by CHI Saint Joseph Health. These funds will support health & wellness initiatives throughout the school district. A special thank you to Flaget Hospital for their partnership and care for our community!
