We're excited to welcome Derek Edlin as Nelson County High School's new Student Leadership Coordinator (Athletic Director).

A proud member of the NCHS Class of 2000, Derek knows firsthand the impact that athletics, student organizations and strong mentors can have on a student's life. For Derek, this is more than a new role. It's a chance to give back to the school that helped shape him.

"I am incredibly humbled to step into the role of Student Leadership Director. As a proud Nelson County alumnus, former athlete, and coach, NCHS has given me so much. I know firsthand how our athletic programs and student organizations create lifelong bonds, and I want every single student to have that same opportunity. I can't wait to help guide the continued growth of Nelson County athletics and support the next generation of Cardinals as they lead and succeed."
