Happy Sunny Friday! Finally some sunshine and what better day than on a Friday and on an OKH LEADer’s birthday!

Today OKH wants to share with the world a big ole Happy Birthday to Dr.Jessica Kephart, one of the assistant principals at OKH. Dr. Kephart wears many different hats at OKH and we are very fortunate to have her leadership each day.

Dr. Kephart works tirelessly to help make students and LEADers feel more comfortable in each and every class. She spends time looking at and deciding which educational tools and curriculums will be best suited to meet the needs of each person involved in the class. She takes time to have individual coaching sessions with LEADers and students on ways to make the curriculum better or tools to help them navigate through the class. She always has an open door policy for each and every person at OKH.

Dr. Kephart also spends time on reimagining possibilities of anything related to OKH. She is constantly thinking and working on ways to improve anything connected to OKH. She looks for ways to make things easier and better for all parties involved.

She also enjoys helping all students become successful. Whether it be through interventions for learning or behavior, she is constantly working to finds ways for each and every student to find success in their days at OKH.

OKH is very blessed to have Dr. Jessica Kephart LEADing at OKH. Her work and time does not go unnoticed. We hope you have an EXCELLENT birthday filled with joy, care, and happiness! Happy Birthday Dr. Jessica Kephart!

School may be out, but OKH still has some LEADers to celebrate on their birthdays. Today, we would like to wish Mr. Shawn Thacker a very happy birthday!

Mr. Thacker is one of OKH’s Diverse Learner LEADers. Mr. Thacker works hard to build relationships with all students, especially students that may not want to be at school. He takes time to listen and show all students that they are important and that it is important to have them as a part of the OKH Community. Mr. Thacker has many tools in helping to build relationships with all students, but his best tool is the ability to just listen to students. Through the time he gives to students just listening allows them to see that they are cared for each and every day. When Mr. Thacker is not LEADing at OKH, you can find him LEADing on the football field, where he is also building relationships with more students.

OKH is very blessed to have Mr. Shawn Thacker LEADing at OKH. OKH hopes you have a great birthday filled with all the care you give students each and every day! Happy Birthday Mr. Shawn Thacker!

May is a super exciting time with all the celebrations and end of the year preparations! May definitely keeps all LEADers moving! In all the planning and preparations for the end of the year we forgot to shout out some very important LEADers on their birthdays. We want to take some time (even if it has passed) to wish these very important people a very happy late birthday!

Mrs. Jessica Cook- celebrated her birthday early in May. Ms. Cook is a phenomenal Business LEADer that works around the clock to find ways to get students not only thinking about business and a future in business, but their financial planning for their futures. Mrs. Cook works tirelessly to find ways to connect with all students by listening or providing them any help that they need. She is always making time for all students. OKH is very lucky to have Mrs. Cook preparing young minds for the future.

Mrs. Allison Knoppe- OKH Social Studies LEADer- celebrated her birthday on May 15. Mrs. Knoppe works tirelessly to help students make connections to past historical moments to connections to ideas of today. She works hard with students to help them understand the importance of having a voice and understanding the meaning of decisions made today that could one day affect their futures. OKH is very blessed in having a Social Studies LEADer that takes time to help students understand the importance of being informed correctly and having a voice when it matters most.

Mrs. Krystal Carroll- Mrs Krystal is OKH Family Resource and Youth Services Coordinator. Mrs. Krystal celebrated her birthday on May 23. Mrs. Krystal works around the clock to make sure all students, families, faculty, and staff needs are met. Mrs. Krystal is always willing to step up and help with any task possible. She dedicates time to working with all students through out OKH. She is constantly sharing her caring heart and optimistic energy with all of OKH. OKH is very blessed to have her LEADing.

These three ladies are definitely the BEST and deserve to be celebrated not only on their birthdays but everyday, year round. Thank you each for your caring heart and positive energy. OKH hopes you all had the BEST birthdays ever!
