Bourbon Capital Academy

It was a pleasure to host 14 team members from the legendary Old Talbott Tavern for a special Diplomat experience! They came ready with questions and eager to learn. These 14 were educated on bourbon, Bardstown, the Academy's ten partner distilleries and their core brands, arming them with the knowledge to represent Bardstown properly when interacting with our guests from all over the globe.

We'll work with any establishment to put together a Diplomat experience just for your team (pending minimum). It's an awesome team building exercise. Reach out to get your team certified! 🥃

The Bourbon Capital Diplomat certification experience is dropping our fall tasting lineup and it's a good one!

Start your class with a bespoke welcome cocktail, The Embassy, featuring Bluegrass Bitters, then find your way to our classroom where you'll be seated with these four excellent pours in front of you. The four pours below feature four of our ten partner distilleries and give us a chance to dive into the differences between a high rye bourbon vs. wheated bourbon, the Bottled in Bond Act, and what makes a wh***ey vs. a bourbon.

Pass your test and you're a certified Bourbon Capital Diplomat, opening the door to continuing education and perks at our partner distilleries. Join us soon. Cheers! 🥃

We certified several of Bardstown's newest Bourbon Capital Diplomats yesterday. Our guests represented a regional bartending service, a Bardstown-based bar/tasting room, and a regional performance coaching company. This diverse group led to some great conversation throughout the Diplomat experience. Congrats to them as they have gained their Diplomat certification!
