Instructor Highlight
Laura DeNunzio
Laura is a talented and versatile artist! If you’re interested in exploring her skills, you can sign up for either of her upcoming classes. The Friday Alcohol Inks class would give you the chance to experiment with this vibrant and fluid medium, while the Saturday Watercolor class will likely teach you the techniques of this timeless art form. Both classes seem like they would be enjoyable and educational, especially given Laura’s reputation for making her classes fun! Laura is also a long time member of the Albemarle Craftsman's Fair & Guild with her beautiful glasswork and jewelry.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Ed Morrison
Friday & Saturday: Decoy Carving & Painting- Wigeon Duck

Ed lives in Virginia Beach, VA. He has been carving since 1982 and teaching carving classes for over 25 years. He is a member of the Back Bay Wildfowl Guild and the Albemarle Craftsman’s Guild. His working style decoys are carved using knives, spoke shaves, and rasps to help preserve the traditional way of decoy making at a time when the trend is toward power carving. Once carved and sanded, he teaches students the proper painting, with details, for the specific duck.
Ed’s workshop is a great environment for both new learners and experienced students. Having a mix of beginners and returning students create a dynamic atmosphere where everyone benefits from each other’s experiences. The beginners get the chance to learn a new skill and the returning students have the opportunity to refine their skills.
