Welcome back to KC JAG 2026-2027. This week our students worked on team building strategies as they competed in the JAG 500. I can already tell this group of students is going to make this school year great!

Knox Central JAG was awarded the 6-of-6 award for meeting JAG National Performance Goals for Graduates! Those goals are:
(1) Graduation
(2) Employment
(3) Full-time Employment
(4) Full-time Positive Outcomes
(5) Further Education Rate
(6) Connectivity Rate

I’m so proud of our program and can’t wait to see what we accomplish this year!

Another chapter of KC JAG has come to an end. To my seniors, I’m incredibly proud of each of you and wish you nothing but success in the next chapter of life. I hope you always remember that no matter where life takes you, I’m only a phone call away if you ever need anything.

Over the past three years, countless memories have been made within these classroom walls, and it’s always bittersweet reflecting on them as this year comes to an end. To my returning students, get ready, I’m already planning what will be the biggest and best year of KC JAG yet!!

Two years ago, we established a tradition in which Senior JAG Officers mark the completion of their leadership roles by placing their handprints on the wall as a symbolic sign-off from their positions.

This group of seniors has a bright future ahead, and I have no doubt they will make a huge impact in both their lives and their community. I am incredibly proud of each of them.

Today was a monumental day for Knox Central JAG! We proudly announced our three-year commitment to supporting the new Knox County Sports Park.

JAG is about far more than interview preparation, resume building, and career exploration. It is about developing responsible, community-minded leaders who will make a positive impact wherever they go. This partnership provides our students with an incredible opportunity to actively serve and invest in their community.

We are especially grateful for the support and presence of our distinguished guests: George Stafford (President of JAG Kentucky), Brooke Cain (Program Manager for JAG Kentucky), State Representative Tom O’Dell Smith, Judge Executive Mike Mitchell, and Principal Jeff Frost. Thank you all for helping make this exciting day possible!

Today, KCHS JAG had the privilege of welcoming Knox County Clerk Mike Corey, who assisted eligible students with voter registration in preparation for the upcoming elections.

At KCHS JAG, we are committed to helping students become responsible members of our community. Teaching them how to register to vote is just one of the ways we prepare them for life after high school.
