We are excited to partner with the Barberton Public Library to host a Library Card Sign-Up Day. Students will have the chance to sign up for their very own Barberton Public Library card, giving them access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, research tools, and so much more.

Students MUST have your “ticket” (will be handed out 1st period on Wednesday) in order to be admitted into the meeting.

When you come into the gym, you should sit at a table with the 3 other people you are going to room with on the trip. There should be 4 total in a room.

During this meeting you will receive the following forms:
permission slip (purple paper- must be returned)
Emergency Medical Form (white paper - must be returned)
medication administration record - for medicine prescribed from a doctor the doctor needs to sign it (white paper - needs to be return if taking a prescription on the trip)
a packing list (pink - keep at home)
drop off and pick up information (orange - keep at home).

Remember - Once the rooms are set, we cannot change due to insurance and safety reasons, so choose your roommates wisely.

BMS STEM students have been busy researching, engineering, and making adjustments and alterations to their catapults. They mastered turning potential energy into kinetic energy. Students also learned a great deal about trajectory and launch angle. Accuracy was the most difficult part of the project. Students had a blast!

In Mr. McComas’s STEM class students engineered zipline racers using basic classroom materials. The overall goal was to see which racer could travel the farthest. Students had to consider load, weight distribution, gravity, rope tension, and friction as they completed this fun yet very worthwhile activity.
