DEZ’s Basics of Pistol class includes range time -- two September dates on 9/11/26 and 9/25/25. This small class of 5 fills up quickly so register today.

Taught by our USCCA certified instructor who is proficient in the instruction and handling of handguns. The 2 to 2.5 hr. course allows for close, personal hands-on attention in a relaxed classroom environment. Low student to instructor ratio is designed around the fundamental skills behind shooting handguns safely and accurately. Other materials covered in this course would be gear, accessories, safe storage and the basics of cleaning and maintaining your firearm.

Focus areas include:

• Safety • Loading and unloading • Nomenclature (Parts) • Stance and grip • Sight alignment and trigger press • Cleaning overview • Storage • Ammunition selection • Live fire (Shooting) In our state-of-the-art climate controlled indoor range

Equipment Needed: Eye and Ear Protection (.22 Handgun and Ammunition will be available for rent if needed)

Regarding Silencer Purchases - It looks like today is going to be a very interesting day nationwide with the current injunction on ATF/NFA regarding silencers and SBR transfers. Everything is clear as mud as how it applies to us dealers given that each state has its own rulings. From the resources we have to go off of, it appears that Wisconsin dealers are required by state law to continue following the normal Form 4 approval process. Sadly, there has been no official statement from ATF at this time and we are hoping for more guidance from our governing officials.

That being said, get your order in for a Silencer if you are on the fence. Inventory levels are going to be low for the foreseeable future and we expect most places to be out of stock very soon given how things are moving. We will post any updates when we have them.

September Concealed Carry Class at DEZ:

September 5, 2026 and September 19, 2026 at 1 - 5 pm. Pick either date, attend and get your Concealed Carry permit. This class provides you with the certificate needed to apply for Concealed Carry Class $80.00. Friday & Saturday is Date Night. No reservation needed, walk-ins are welcome. For only $37.50 couples can share a lane. If you need to rent a handgun, DEZ has a wide selection to choose from for only $35.00. If you need eye protection, ear protection and a target add $10.00 and you are set up for an enjoyable experience with your date. Range hours are 12 - 6:30 pm - The store is open until 8 pm.

Weekends are great for Family Days -- Children 12-17 can share a lane and shoot at the range with the parent. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for the range and the store is open until 6 p.m.
