"LEARNING THROUGH PLAY" A little spray bottle w/water and the fun begins. First the table and chairs then the rubber ducks, blocks and ultimately the teacher. What fun we had cleaning our room.

"LEARNING THROUGH PLAY" Group games offer a chance for kids to be social, though toddlers will more often play alongside their friends rather than with them. They enjoy being around other kids, but will focus more on the teacher or parent.

Baraboo Sunshine ~ families and children enjoyed our Valentine's day event. Focusing on friendship and caring is the perfect way to celebrate. Sharing sweet treats, themed games and activities. Koala Bears BUILD A SNOWMAN! Today has good snowman-making snow, it is wet and easy to pack.
Planning. One of the first steps to building a snowman is planning and preparing. Sit down and talk with your youth about what a snowman should look like. Gather the supplies you will need before you go outside. Take a moment to make sure the snow is the right type for building a snowman: good snowman-making snow is wet and easy to pack. Light and fluffy or rock hard snow will not work well.
Teamwork. Snowman making can take place by yourself, but many times it is more fun to have help building a snowman. Work together with your teammates to figure out who is going to do what in the process of making a snowman. Someone can take the lead with the bottom part, while others can start on the middle and top sections. Once it is together, follow the previously decided plan on how the snowman will be decorated.
Creativity. The children use their imagination on the snowman to make it come to life.

Icy fingers, icy toes,
Bright red cheeks and bright red nose.
Watch the snowflakes as they fall,
Try so hard to count them all.
Build a snowman way up high,
See if he can touch the sky.
Snow forts, snowballs, angels, too,
In the snow, so white and new.
Slip and slide and skate so fast.
Wintertime is here at last.

An obstacle course is a fun activity that doubles as a functional exercise to enhance your child’s motor and sensory skills.
Obstacle courses can teach your child to sequence a multi-step activity as well as challenge their memory.
Within the course, you can incorporate various activities to provide multiple sensory inputs!
Multiple activities within the obstacle course can provide opportunities to build your child’s strength.
Obstacle courses provide a great opportunity for your child to improve motor planning, to get from one location to the next.
You can incorporate steps that challenge your child’s bilateral coordination.
