The Huhugam Heritage Center hosted Akimel O’otham Ñeo’ok classes for the past two months at Casa Blanca Community School. Today the learners of the class received their certificates. Among the group are CBCS staff Trenton Owens, Analee Evans, Karen Evans and Assistant Principal Dr. Godinez.

School might be out for the summer, but the dedication to our students never stops. This week, the Casa Blanca Community School leadership team engaged in a work day led by Ginger Martin.
We dove deep into a comprehensive SWOT analysis evaluating our strengths, targeting growth areas, and mapping out strategic goals for the upcoming school year. We are incredibly proud of our supervisors for working hard through the summer months to ensure our students are supported and successful.

We had an incredible turnout at our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) work session today! Our dedicated families spent the entire day collaborating, planning, and working together to support our students and school community.
A huge shoutout and thank you to everyone who pitched in with childcare throughout the day to make this session possible. It was truly a team effort! We are deeply grateful for our involved families who help us build a stronger community every single day.

CBCS, in partnership with Grand Canyon University, is offering the Arizona Literacy Endorsement classes. The Literacy Part A class is scheduled for July 13-16, 7:30am-3:00pm, at Casa Blanca Community School. The cost is $210, covering all materials.
