Grab the small moments! A cold swim at sunset before mosquito season is *everything*.

Looks fancy, but it’s really not. A no-cook dinner of cheese and crackers (okay, and a little bubbly), playing with the instrument I’m falling in love with (dulcimer), and sparkling in the last blink of light before the sunset. Simple pleasures. here are 3 good things about my Tuesday 😌

A few shots from a recent trip to Boston for a professional conference. It was hard for me to spend several days in a concrete jungle, being so spoiled by easy access to quiet nature at home. But I found some salvation in the parks around Boston Common. Beautiful tulips, green grass, weeping cherry trees and showy magnolia blossoms offered just enough nature to help me limp through until I made it back home. I suggested I might cold plunge in the pond there but a Boston native strongly recommended against it, for sanitary reasons 😝 I sure am glad to be home!!

PS: If you have space in my building this was a basement-level incident and did not affect you 😜

Request a Catalog | Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds 10/28/2024

This is a fantastic (free!) seed catalogue that brings me so much joy. I order it every fall so I’ll have something beautiful to drool over when they mail out in the dark, cold days of winter. It’s a sight for sore eyes after we’ve lived in a world of grayscale for a few months.

Check it out if you like to grow stuff!
