This friend recieved a lesson using PYTHAGORAS INSETS to move beyond a² + b² = c².

By using these right triangles to find the apothem of regular polygons, he explored how adding infinite sides eventually leads to the area of a circle.
It’s a hands-on way to show how Newton and Leibniz derived the concept of limits!

Watching the "aha!" moment when geometry meets calculus is why we love this approach!

Our Lower Elementary friends are hard at work! (Grades 1, 2, & 3)

Upper Elementary students continue to work with concrete materials to better understand advanced concepts. In these photos you'll see students working with the periodic table and building the molecular structures of atoms, while others are working with botany cards, or using advanced division materials. (grades 4, 5, & 6)

Upper Elementary students (grades 4-6) utilize The Atom Board to investigate atomic structure comprising a central nucleus surrounded by energy shells containing protons neutrons and electrons represented by color-coded beads.
