What an amazing weekend for Husson Wresting. Danny Buteau is our first male All-American and first National Champ. Eddie Deroche is our second male All-American taking 6th in his freshman campaign. Congrats to both wrestlers. The future is bright!

Danny Buteau is Husson Universities first Male National Champ!! He wins 3-2 in double overtime vs. Springfield Technical Community College! Congrats Danny Buteau!

Eddie DeRoche won by pin vs. Grand Valley State in the consolation quarters!
In the consolation semi-finals Eddie Deroche lost a close math in overtime vs. Florida state ( #3 ranked wrestler). He will be wrestling for 5th and 6th later on today!

Husson University now has its first male National Finalist! Danny Buteau wins a close bout 4-3 in the final seconds vs East Carolina University! The finals match will be a rematch of the conference finals vs Springfield Technical Community College!

Husson University has its second All-American! Eddie Deroche won his blood round match by pin in the first period vs. Wayne state!

Husson University has its first Male All-American! With a second period pin by Danny Buteau against Big Bend Community College that sends him to the semi-finals! Eddie Deroche lost a tough draw against the University of Toledo in the quarterfinals and will be fighting back in the consolation bracket. On to the Quarter Finals for both Danny and Eddie! Danny won by pin in the 3rd and Eddie won 5-4!!! Congrats boys, keep up the good work! And if you're not already following the matches on FloArena check it out!

Husson University is off to a great start after the first session! Eddie Deroche won his first two matches by pin and Danny Buteau won his second match by pin as well (After a first round bye). Husson is tied for first in the overall team standings!
