We are pleased to announce our new Interim Executive Director, Liz Mullis. Liz may be a familiar face to many of you as she has worked as a social worker at Good Samaritan for the past 28 years. During that time, Liz has worked with many adoptive families, had the honor of watching many adolescent moms graduate high school through our TPE program and seen lots of children learn and grow in our childcare center. In her new role, Liz looks forward to working with the amazing staff to continue to provide high quality services to our community. We welcome Liz to her new role and wish her well!

For those of you who do not know, Debbie Giguere retired from Good Samaritan Agency on December 31st! We wanted to share with you here parting message from our annual report- "I am most grateful for the time I have spent here, and I will forever smile when I think of all the wonderful people I have had the privilege to serve, work with and get to know. The Good Samaritan Agency is an amazing agency, and it has been an honor to be part of a place that does so much for our community. I know that the agency is in good hands and will continue to grow and thrive to meet the needs of our community." -Debbie Giguere

A huge congratulations to Sydney Ferris, 2021 TPE graduate. Sydney is a student at EMCC, studying nursing. Recently, she received the Jeanette Martin Webb Memorial Scholarship from Bangor Adult Education. The family and friends of Jeanette Martin Webb established this scholarship in memory of her strong work ethic and determination which were the driving forces in raising her family. As a motivated single mother, she worked full time while taking courses to advance her skills. This scholarship honors her in hopes of making a significant difference to deserving single parent students in Penobscot County. We are so excited that Sydney has received this honor. We are also happy to share this recent picture of Sydney and son, Carter.
