A cryptolinguist is a specialized role within the United States Air Force (USAF) that focuses on analyzing, interpreting, and exploiting foreign language communications to gather critical intelligence.

The primary responsibilities of a USAF cryptolinguist include intercepting, transcribing, translating, and analyzing foreign language communications, such as telephone conversations, radio broadcasts, and written documents. They utilize advanced tools and technologies to process and decode encrypted messages, providing valuable intelligence to military commanders and decision-makers.
