Congratulations to our Ellsworth Pre-K graduates! 🎓 You are so ready for Kindergarten!

We are so proud to have called this awesome woman a colleague, friend, and collaborator. Lauren (Dr. Fysh) is the amazing professor who coordinates bringing Husson OT students here to work with our kiddos as part of their college program. They are incredible and Lauren is such a fabulous teacher. She has dedicated her life to serving kiddos and she is amazing at what she does. Congratulations, Dr. Fysh!

Dr. Lauren Fysh, an assistant professor in the Husson University School of Occupational Therapy, is the recipient of this year’s Distinguished University Service Award.

This award is presented to a faculty member who demonstrates outstanding service to both Husson University and the broader community. At Husson, Dr. Fysh develops and facilitates a pro bono program in which students complete evaluations for local school districts and implement Tier 1 and Tier 2 response-to-intervention programming, serving approximately 85 children annually.

Dr. Fysh is also Co-Chair of the Maine Occupational Therapy Association’s Children and Youth SIS, where she collaborates with the Maine Department of Education, engages in advocacy efforts and contributes to the development of educational materials and programming. She also provides Husson students with opportunities to participate in this work through conference presentations and resource development.

Additionally, as faculty advisor for Husson’s Student Occupational Therapy
Association, Dr. Fysh mentors students as they coordinate inclusive community programs, including Hall-OT-ween, Sleigh the Holidays and adaptive dance.

IT’S OFFICIAL! 🎉 We are building our new 6,000 square foot learning center! At the beginning of 2027 (hopefully), we will be moving from Bangor to the Hampden Business and Commerce Park (approximately 10 minutes from our current location). We will be located conveniently right off of 395. With approximately 2 acres of land, we are so excited for all of the possibilities for both our indoor and outdoor learning areas. Thank you to CEI for your continued belief in our mission!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day to all the people who have chosen education as their profession. From the early childhood educators who have chosen to care for our littlest learners, to our elementary, middle, and high school teachers who continue to nurture those learners into adulthood. Lastly to the college staff who carry the torch of lifelong learning. And to all the support staff who we couldn't do it without. Education is truly a labor of love. We appreciate everyone who plays a part!

We are expanding our enrollment to include 12 months and over! We piloted this in our Bangor location this year, and we love having the little ones! So, if your child is 12 months old, we are now enrolling for that age.

Additional enrollment available (including summer!):
-We are also enrolling for 1-4 years old now and Pre-K enrollment for the fall! It's not too early to think about getting your child enrolled. Many kids enjoy our 3 year old Jr. Pre-K programming, which gives them a chance to get acclimated before they begin public school.
-Do you have a child that just completed Pre-K or Kindergarten and you need summer care? We will have space available for summer only! Blend an educational and fun summer for your child!

Attention Ellsworth Area!

Have you been thinking about Jr. Pre-K (age 3) or Pre-K (age 4) for the fall? We'd love for you to come tour our facility and find out all we have to offer! We have fresh new indoor spaces, awesome outdoor areas, and programming that is both fun and educational. Our goal is for your child to leave here ready for Kindergarten! We are also enrolling for ages 1 & 2 as well, as we are opening new classroom spaces! We are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Contact [email protected].

Are you looking for a fun, educational, and caring environment for your little learner? Are you looking for a placement for Pre-K for the fall?

We are currently enrolling for early summer through fall. We will have full and part time enrollments for all ages.
