Sunshine and Glass go hand in hand! Hope you are all soaking up the nice bright sky... Just letting you know that there are only 3 spaces left for the Kiln Carving workshop on Saturday, April 27th; Kiln Carving is a great way to make your glass sparkle! If you are planning to enroll, please call Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio, (541) 347-5355; better yet, stop by in person, 145 Fillmore Ave SE, Bandon - next to the Station Restaurant. Also, the Casting Class on Sunday, April 28th will focus on Sea Shells and Dragonflies. An image of the shell examples is already on the announcement post; I am hoping to get a dragonfly buzzing around soon for you and looking forward to seeing you in the classroom!
In case you missed the announcement, Art by the Sea is having a reception tomorrow, April 6th, 2-4 and welcoming new artist, Laura Brownfield. If you haven't seen Laura's glasswork yet, it's incredibly lovely and very fun! She has taught a few classes at my studio before and maybe, if we all cross our fingers at the same time and think happy thoughts, we can talk her into doing so again in the near future. Another new artist also being welcomed to Art by the Sea, Carol Howald, is an amazing painter! You will be awed by the naturalism and detail in Carol's ocean scenes, boats, and birds! Finally, stop by the reception and meet Rosalynd Shuff, the Gallery's featured artist this month. Rosalynd won last year's People's Choice award in the "Celebrate the Square" show; her work is fresh and inviting!
Enjoy an Art-filled weekend,
Anne
