June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month and is celebrated in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprisings in Manhattan, marking a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States and the five year anniversary of Inclusion Alley, UBalt’s LGBTQIA+ safe space. The entire month is celebrated to recognize the impact that LGBTQIA+ individuals have had on history.
