It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Eva Rice Rousseau. She was valedictorian of the class of 1966. She served as principal of Dunbar Senior High School located in Washington, DC. Dr. Rousseau’s was instrumental in recruiting young ladies from the DCMetro area to attend Bennett College. Her contributions to our chapter will not be forgotten.

Constance Lindsey-CANDIDATE FOR SECRETARY

*Baltimore’s Chapter President

Being a part of the Executive Committee of the BCNAA would be an honor and a privilege. I am running for the office of recording secretary. I understand the importance of keeping accurate and thorough records to ensure the events and history of this organization are preserved. Presently, I am the President of the Baltimore Metro Chapter. My tenure as president has come at very challenging times for the college and society. During my presidency, our chapter actively supported the Stand with Bennett Campaign. The Baltimore Metro Chapter held a Donate-A-Thon, partnered with philanthropist Zac McDaniels to attend city-wide fundraising activities. In addition, our chapter has an annual college send-off for students, keeps in contact with present students from Bennett, and helps recruit at events in the area. We also provide mentor support to students during their matriculation.

I am a 1987 graduate with a degree in Accounting, elementary certification from Coppin State University, and M. ED from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Currently, I am enrolled in the MSW program at the University of Maryland Baltimore. I am employed with the Baltimore City Public School System and am the Dean of Academics and Culture. I am also the founder of the Jugs My Girls Mentoring organization for girls in grades 5-8 (complete bio not listed)
