One of our favorite signs of spring has come and gone — our butterfly journey! 🦋

Over the past several weeks, our preschool students learned all about the life cycle of a butterfly, from tiny caterpillars and chrysalises to beautiful butterflies emerging and spreading their wings. Watching this transformation up close sparked curiosity, wonder, and excitement in our classrooms each day.

This week, we celebrated by releasing our butterflies into nature and sending them off on their next adventure! 💛🌷

This week at Goldsmith Early Childhood Center, we celebrated our Timeless Educators during Teacher Appreciation Week! ✨🕺🌼

From groovy granola breakfasts and retro refreshers to rad potato bars, sweet treats, and flower power surprises, we traveled back through the decades to honor the incredible dedication, creativity, and love our teachers bring each and every day. Their impact is truly timeless, and we are so grateful for all they do for our children and families. 💛

Earth Day is Today! 🌎 Celebrate with us tomorrow!

Judaism has provided ways to appreciate the world around us. Perhaps you have heard that there is a blessing when you see a rainbow or hear thunder. But did you know there is a blessing for seeing something beautiful? In addition to the imperative to take care of the earth, we are also compelled to recognize and enjoy all that the earth gives us.

Be sure to get outside and focus on natural wonders. When you see a tender bud growing out of a branch or stem, hear a bird chirping her morning song, or feel the wind caressing your face, remember to say this b’rukhah:

Barukh atah adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam shekakha lo baolamo.
Blessed are you, our God, King of the Universe, who has such beautiful things in His universe.
