Hooah! Join us in congratulating Dena Allen-Few on being selected as a 2023 Veteran Champion of the Year in Higher Education by G.I. Jobs Magazine.
Allen-Few, an Army veteran and coordinator of veteran and military students services in The Bob Parsons Veterans Center at the University of Baltimore, has made it her mission to assist service members like her on their higher education journey.

The Bob Parsons Veterans Center's, Dena Allen-Few, Named a Veteran Champion of the Year in Higher Education by GIJobs Magazine
Josiah Guthland, director of The Bob Parsons Veteran Center, said he was proud to nominate Allen-Few for the accolade.
"She has done outstanding work for our veteran community here at The University of Baltimore," he pointed out. "Dena plans the majority of our veteran centered events, has worked with the Bursar's office to help veteran students with their VA billing, and has worked with our academic partners to co-host educational events that have a veteran and military perspective. She is a wonderful asset to the institution and I could not be more proud."

It has been an exciting two weeks at the Bob Parsons Veterans Center. On April 14, we hosted Tony Bibbo, a UBalt class of 89 Alumni. Tony received his MBA from UBalt which launched is career in Hospital Administration at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. It was an engaging conversation.

Over spring break, the Coordinator of the Bob Parsons Veterans Center, Dena Allen-Few, participated as a guest panelist hosted by Baltimore City Community College for 'Women on the Move.' This event aimed to celebrate the achievements of women in various fields and inspire the next generation of female leaders.
Ms. Allen-Few was joined by fellow BCCC alumni Senator Joan Carter Conway, and the Owner and President of 'Diva by Cindy Hair Products', Cindy Tawiah.
