🌸 Yesterday, some of our patients enjoyed a special outing to Whole Foods and Starbucks!
The girls picked out flowers and created beautiful arrangements while practicing mindfulness by talking about why they chose each flower. 💐
With flowers left over, they came up with a wonderful idea: give them to customers as they left the store! They practiced independence, introducing themselves and sharing a simple message with each person: “I hope this brightens your day.”
A beautiful activity that brought smiles to both sides of the interaction! 💗

Travers recently stepped in to support a patient who was having a difficult moment. He calmly got down on the patient’s level, offered reassurance and stayed by his side until he was ready to leave.
By the time they left, the patient was happy and smiling! ❤️

🤝 Building Connections. Strengthening Care.
Recently, MWPH welcomed more than 40 case managers and social workers from health systems across the region for our inaugural Case Management & Social Work Summit!
Guests learned more about MWPH’s specialized inpatient and outpatient services, recent clinical advancements and areas of growth, toured the hospital, and connected with members of our team.
The day also included an open discussion about the evolving needs of children and families and how we can work together to strengthen care across Maryland.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! We look forward to building on these relationships and continuing to connect more children with the specialized care they need. 💙

Meet our Lactation Team: Speech-Language Pathologists Kelly Piserchia, Bethany Gallagher, Lesley Delaney and Ericka Janifer, and Occupational Therapist Rebecca Clement.

It is with heavy hearts that we join the world in mourning the passing of Dolly Parton. 💙

For the past three years, MWPH has proudly shared her Imagination Library program with our patients and families — connecting our littlest ones with free books, early literacy, and the gift of learning from the very beginning of life. The joy and gratitude we have witnessed in our families because of this program is a direct reflection of Dolly's extraordinary heart and her lifelong commitment to children.

The books will keep arriving. The stories will keep being read. And her legacy will live on in every child who falls in love with reading because of what she built.

Rest easy, Dolly. 🌟📚

We were so happy to celebrate Tajae as he reached an amazing milestone—his first birthday! 💙
His mom, brother and aunt planned a special celebration with a Mr. One-derful theme, complete with a bow tie, crown and birthday cake! 👑🎈
We sang “Happy Birthday” to Tajae, and he was all smiles! 🥰 We hope this next year brings continued progress, growth and lots of happy moments!
