Our 2–4-year-olds said, “CLASSROOM? WE DON’T KNOW HER!” 🤣 They packed their imaginary bags, pitched their pretend tents, explored nature, and went FULL CAMPER with our Experience Learning Camping Unit! 🎒🐻🌿

But don’t let all this cuteness fool you… THEY WERE WORKING! 😂👏🏽

Grab your imaginary bug spray—Base Camp is officially open! 🏕️✨This month, our classroom is trading circle time for campfire time as we launch our Brightwheel "Let's Go Camping" unit! We have a wild, mixed crew of tiny trailblazers (toddlers) and expert explorers (preschoolers) taking over the wilderness!
🏕️ Week 1: Base CampToddler Skill: Spatial awareness.Action: Crawling in and out of play tents or boxes.Preschooler Skill: Engineering and geometry.Action: Cooperatively building the tent structure using sheets and blocks.Toddler Skill: Fine motor packing.Action: Stuffing soft items (sleeping bags, clothes) into a backpack.Preschooler Skill: Math and capacity.Action: Counting and balancing items so the pack isn't too heavy.
