This summer, Divaneering Impact Lab, , and are headed to Essence Festival of Culture to showcase what happens when beauty, technology, entrepreneurship, and community collide.
But we’re not going alone.
We’re bringing Baltimore with us.
We’re creating opportunities for girls to gain exposure, develop leadership skills, participate in market research, and witness innovation and ownership on one of the nation’s largest cultural stages.
We’re also creating opportunities for businesses, organizations, and community leaders to align their brands with a movement that is expanding pathways into Beauty-Tech and entrepreneurship.

Saturday we had an incredible opportunity to innovate, impact, and inspire alongside the brilliant young queens of in partnership with and powered by 💕✨
From the moment they stepped into the experience, the energy was electric.
They were welcomed with elevated corporate aesthetics, delightful refreshments prepared by , and a room full of curiosity sparked by colorful 30-inch wigs awaiting Divaneering’s signature Hon Head Challenge.
But this experience was about so much more than hair!
These young women explored beauty-tech innovation, learned how ideas become inventions, and engaged in hands-on engineering challenges designed to show them that STEM exists everywhere, including in the industries they already love.
At Divaneering Impact Lab, we believe innovation becomes more powerful when girls can see themselves in it.

At Divaneering Impact Lab we believe every girl carries a light inside of her waiting to shine bright like a diode ✨
This week at Ella Bailey our girls stepped into the world of electronics by learning how to construct basic LED, motor, and audio circuits before designing their own LED jewelry creations. Through pattern recognition, mapping, counting, focus, and object-oriented comprehension, they challenged themselves to think critically and engineer with confidence.
And the reward?
A sound.
A light.
A moving part.
Proof that their ideas work. 💡
By the end of the program, our girls weren’t just building circuits…they were building confidence, curiosity, and pride in themselves as future innovators.

Our Divaneering Leadership Team represents engineering, entrepreneurship, education, media, youth development, wellness, and innovation. Each of them brings a unique lens, lived experience, and professional expertise that amplifies our mission.
