An important study and definitely something to think about in your reflexology session!

The AARP Foundation and the United Health Foundation conducted a study, which found that two-thirds of U.S. adults report experiencing social isolation and more than half agree that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused their anxiety level to increase. Studies have found that social isolation can be worse for one’s health than obesity, and the health risks are equivalent to smoking 15 ci******es a day. The bottom line is older people feel socially isolated.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Plants have been used since the beginning of civilization to heal. Each herb has research, energetics and lore behind it to help you determine its uses. Plant combinations can be used to enhance their properties and customize to the body’s needs during times of illness. This class will introduce you to the basis of herbal and energetic theory, while dissecting a core group of safe and accessible plants for you to experiment with. Join Sam Belyea, Clinical Certified Herbalist, to explore the holistic world of plant medicine and plant consciousness to help explore healing through the natural world.

Covid has been a big challenge for reflexology and reflexologist. Times like this force us to get more creative, to get out of our normal pattern and find creative ways to grow both personally and professionally. Today we have launched a new website for BSR, we will be taking a new approach to teaching reflexology. We will now be offering a hybrid program that allows students to take the lecture part of the program online at their convenience. Bodywork classes will be done in person with safety precautions in place. The prerecorded lectures will be the same as they were in the classroom! This format will also allow me to offer more continuing Ed classes in the near future. We will be holding weekly google meets every Wednesday to answer any questions you have about the new program as well as any other reflexology questions that you may have!
