Learning Ladder at Har Sinai Oheb Shalom Congregation Jewish Preschool and child care for children 10 weeks to five years of age. We are a high quality Jewish pre-school and child care center in Pikesville.

At the Learning Ladder, we believe that each child is a special and unique individual. Our program provides learning and positive social interaction opportunities for all children through a quality, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate program, in a safe and supportive environment. Our program is designed to meet the needs of each and every child, and encourages them to grow and develop at t

heir own pace and in their own way. Our children are able to explore the world around them through a variety of hands-on experiences. They develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills through encounters with make-believe, play, art, manipulative toys, block building, science, cooking, literature, music, and, of course, one another. In addition, our children develop an intense feeling of pride in their Jewish heritage, by observing and participating in Jewish customs, rituals, and holiday observances. As early childhood professionals, our aim is to give each child the opportunity to learn, develop, and play to the fullest extent possible.

We had the best day celebrating Passover at the Learning Ladder! We started with a sing-a-long with Cantor Fox and Rabbi Sabath, followed by a model Seder in their classrooms. Lastly, all of the children got a chance to see the completed All-School Haggadah that we made with help from our Kvasim, Doobim, Nemerim, and Girafot classes!

A huge thank you to our Learning Ladder families for giving tzedakah- because of your generosity, we were able to donate $360 and sponsor 10 campers as part of HSOSC's Summer Collection to help the youth at Camp St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore!

Camp St. Vincent is the only free summer camp dedicated to serving children experiencing homelessness in the Baltimore region. Camp St. Vincent provides children experiencing homelessness with an unforgettable and transformational camp experience and addresses the negative impact of homelessness on children’s unique academic, social, and emotional needs.

What a huge mitzvah!
