In a letter to the school community on Friday evening, President Donohue and Principal Peace announced the appointment of Fr. John Bilenki '13 to the full-time position of Priest Chaplain. Fr. John has faithfully served the past two years as our part-time chaplain while also serving as Associate Pastor at St. Jane Frances de Chantal and Our Lady of the Chesapeake.

As Priest Chaplain, Fr. John will serve as the chief spiritual leader of the Mount Saint Joseph community, helping to foster a vibrant Catholic identity rooted in the Xaverian Charism. He will celebrate Masses and prayer services, assist with retreats, offer spiritual guidance, teach theology courses, and work closely with Campus Ministry and the Theology Department to strengthen faith formation across our community.

Congratulations to Jeff Taegel P'26, '28, who has been named head coach of the MSJ swim program! Coach Taegel brings extensive experience in aquatics leadership, coaching, and education. He currently owns JCT Aquatics and operates the Watermont Swim Club and previously served as the Director of Aquatics at McDonogh School. We are excited to welcome Coach Taegel to the MSJ community and look forward to the leadership, experience, and enthusiasm he will bring to our swim program!

For the past 4 months, Honors Chemistry students have been competing in a dueling blackboard competition known as the Chem-Off. Each of the 3 classes crowned individual champions: Brady Peake '28, Finnegan Dellinger '28, and Ethan Jenkins '28. They competed in a final battle of chemistry knowledge to crown the Chem-Off Champion, and Finnegan won the title!
