Fr. Stephen Kirby '17 (center) was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Baltimore on June 20. This past Sunday, Fr. Kirby celebrated his first Mass as a priest at St. John the Evangelist!

Happy Father's Day from Mount Saint Joseph! This year, we had 24 alumni who had sons graduating in the Class of 2026!

Congratulations to Phil Kraska '04 on being named the MIAA Baseball Coach of the Year! He led the Gaels to an MIAA-best 23 wins, securing the MIAA regular season title. The team then advanced through the playoffs and reached the MIAA Championship.

Maiden Choice Run, right behind our campus, got a bump up in its stock of fish recently! We released the rainbow trout we have been raising in our biology lab aquarium!

Congratulations to our sustainability students on their 1st place victory at the Baltimore City Department of Public Works Eco-Warriors' Competition! They competed against other participating schools in Baltimore City where they earned points for completing sustainability projects and initiatives that help the environment and our community. At the awards ceremony, we were presented with $3,000 for our sustainability program!

Smile, it's the last day of exams, Gael Nation! Your hard work has paid off, and now it's time to relax and enjoy the summer!

Tower restoration work is now underway! Built in 1901, the Tower is our most iconic landmark and a beacon for the thousands of alumni whose names are signed on its bricks. Thanks to the generosity of the Alumni Association, this beloved symbol of our campus will be preserved for generations of Gaels to come!

Last week, AP US History students participated in the We The People - Simulated Congressional Program for their final project. Students presented and answered questions on history and civics topics to panels of teachers, alumni, and community members including Councilman Pat Young '01, Delegate Nick Allen '08 and Kelly Reichardt P'22, '24 from the Center for Civic Education.

In a letter to the school community on Friday evening, President Donohue and Principal Peace announced the appointment of Fr. John Bilenki '13 to the full-time position of Priest Chaplain. Fr. John has faithfully served the past two years as our part-time chaplain while also serving as Associate Pastor at St. Jane Frances de Chantal and Our Lady of the Chesapeake.

As Priest Chaplain, Fr. John will serve as the chief spiritual leader of the Mount Saint Joseph community, helping to foster a vibrant Catholic identity rooted in the Xaverian Charism. He will celebrate Masses and prayer services, assist with retreats, offer spiritual guidance, teach theology courses, and work closely with Campus Ministry and the Theology Department to strengthen faith formation across our community.
