We're delighted to welcome another baby deer visitor to our campus this week. π¦π
After a second sighting, we're beginning to suspect that news of our preschool's warm, nurturing environment has spread well beyond the Baltimore parent community! Apparently everyone is looking for a great place for young families. ππ

Twelve Beth Tfiloh students recently traveled to New York City to compete in the national finals of the Chidon HaTanach USA - the Dr. Shimshon Isseroff US National Bible Contest for Jewish Youth - and we couldn't be more proud of how they represented our community!
Mazel Tov and Kol Hakavod to Moshe L. '28, who earned 1st place in the high school division, and to Tamar L. '31, who placed 6th in the middle school division - incredible accomplishments for both students! Moshe's win secured a spot at next year's international competition in Israel, taking place on Yom Ha'atzmaut.
If you've ever spoken with a student who's prepared for the Chidon, you'd know that they've devoted much of their personal time outside of school to studying, reviewing, and preparing. Under the guidance of Rabbi Leib Zalesch, students spent months getting ready for the competition, studying Sefer Bereish*t, Sefer Shmuel Bet, selections from Tehillim, and, in the high school division, portions of Sefer Yechezkel.
The competition itself was incredibly close. In the high school division, all three finalists finished tied for first place before a playoff round determined the final standings, and because of thhis (how amazing, right?!), all three will be in Israel next year for the final.
This year also marked fifteen consecutive years of BT student participation at the Chidon national finals - something we're incredibly proud of.
Mazel tov to everyone who took on this year-long challenge and represented BT so beautifully. Special thanks again to Rabbi Zalesch for the time, encouragement, and support he invests in our students year after year.
